It means you are part of the first group helping launch your city. You join before the city opens to travelers and get early access to earning, priority visibility, and founding-only benefits.
You earn money by answering travelers' questions through short chats. Travelers pay to ask questions, you get paid for each conversation you answer, and you choose when to be online or offline.
Questions are practical and personal: where to eat with one night in town, which area feels Lokal, what is overrated, or what to do after a market closes. You are not expected to plan full itineraries or lead tours.
Yes. You can go online or offline anytime, ignore or decline questions, and you are never obligated to respond.
No. Applying as a Founding Lokal is free. You only earn money; you never pay to participate.
This first form only saves your place on the early Lokal list. When the app opens, you will complete your profile, city details and identity verification securely inside Lokal before approval.
Because later, founding spots close, priority placement is no longer available, and referral rewards may change. Early Lokals shape the system.
